An echocardiogram is a test that uses ultrasound to assesses the heart size, heart function, and valve function. You will be asked to lie on a bed, whilst an ultrasound probe is moved over various locations on your chest and upper abdomen. The test is not invasive and takes 30-45 mins to complete.
